I've been away from the media for a couple days, due to my computer
being down, and no television in the house. I'm back today, and began
to read on the happenings that i've missed. Goodness, I've missed all
sorts of good stuff.
Michelle Malkin being slandered,
and the truth about the images.
A "protest" in New York City against W.
(Do these people really expect to be taken seriously) Why can't
anything interesting happen here, where I live? But my personal
favorite is this little clip of George Bush 41
calling it like it is.
Speaking of Chavez, and the Venezualean oil, I also ran across
something the other day about the 7 Eleven chain of gas stations not
renewing their contract with Citgo. Citgo, as many know, is wholly
owned by the country of Venezuela. According to the
Citgo site, the decision has nothing to do with Chavez's remarks, yet according to the
LA TIMES,
a 7 Eleven spokeswoman indicated that "Certainly Chavez's position and
statements over the past year or so didn't tempt us to stay with
Citgo,".
I love being a conservative, and watching the pendulum
swing toward conservative thinking! It's such an exciting time to live
in. It's got to be maddening to be a liberal and watch the nation
utterely reject liberal idealism, and instead embrace conservative
values. Mid-term elections ought to be a whole lot of fun. I'm kind
of looking forward to watching the implosion of the democratic party.
